THIS USER ASKED ๐
Which of the following animals has fur that changes color with the season? a. polar bear b. arctic fox c. wolverine d. lynx
THIS IS THE BEST ANSWER ๐
The correct answer is (b) arctic fox
The arctic fox displays two colors of fur depending on the season. During the summer and spring seasons the fox has a dark colored coat. It does so to match the color of the brown dirt in the surrounding environment. In winter the arctic fox turns its fur white to match the color of the snow in the surrounding environment. This phenomenon is called “camouflage”. Animals developed this adaptation to protect itself from killing other animals by changing the color of the fur according to the color of the surroundings.
