a. Political geography is a branch of geography, which connects and integrates political and geographical phenomena into a single study. In other words, it concerns the study of geography which provides an insight into the political aspects of a region. It also involves the study of the politics of geographical factors such as territories and states.
b. A partition state is a state that was once a single structure, but a partition that occurred in two separate dominants. The segregated States include Korea and India.
c. A state with an elongated and narrow territory is an elongated state. The width is usually six times shorter than the length. Vietnam and Norway are examples of such states.
d. A fragmented state exists as a country entirely within an island, or part of it on an island, and the rest on the mainland. It may exist as the entire state, which may be located on the mainland. In any case, if another state separates the territory of the country, it becomes a fragmented state. Such states are Indonesia and Malaysia.
e. The Mediterranean state of the Mediterranean region is one that stretches along the Mediterranean. Such states are Egypt and Israel.
