SOMEONE ASKED 👇
On a Carfax report what does “Drivability/performance checked” mean?
HERE THE ANSWERS 👇
-
sounds like they just test-drove it
owner probably thought something was wrong so they took it to a mechanic to check its “drivability/performance”
if that’s ALL it is for that entry, then maybe nothing was really wrong with it and the owner was just paranoid

Most Carfax reports don’t show the information you’re looking at. They are usually very short and never go into detail as to what types of services were performed on a vehicle. You’re very lucky to have found a car that has that kind of info.
Getting to your question, Drivability/performance check is simply checking how the vehicle handles on the road. If the alignment was performed then the vehicle would need to be driven for a few miles in order to check whether there is still a pull in any direction.
Finally, if the rest of the report is clean you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.
