• Actually even though he has played the drums before, he only played on a drumset, not a traditional marching snare. He did try playing marching snare for the movie, but it s harder than it looks so he had some sound effects help boosting his playing. Also, everyone who played snare were holding every single pair of their sticks incorrectly; their left hand being too lose and their thumb not being up, and their right hand doing a French grip in which that is not how your properly hold the sticks. This incorrect technique and grip made them look unprofessional when playing unless people who don t play percussion or are not in drumline watch it. So your current best answer is incorrect, sorry to say.

• Nick did hit the drum but he never played the drum….in an interview with Russel, He (Nick) mentioned that there were pads on the drums, definitely the sound of the beats didn’t come from nick. But in one sentence, He definitely knows how to play drums and he is talented.
