StubbornThe adjective stubborn is used to qualify the person stubborn, stubborn or stubborn. For instance: “Why are you so stubborn? I’m telling you that the documents are not in that drawer “, “I have always been a stubborn man: I do not stop until I achieve what I set out to do”, “It’s difficult for two stubborn people to agree”.

The stubborn individual, therefore, stands firm in a position. You do not take into account the comments or opinions of others if you are convinced of what you think. On the other hand, although reality shows him that he is wrong or that a situation is not as he believes, the stubborn subject insists with your thoughts or actions.

In this way, stubbornness can be taken as something positive or negative depending on the context or considerations of each. In some cases, it is appreciated that a person be stubborn as it shows constancy, firmness and conviction: Despite the difficulties, he continues with his project.

Human beings do not usually like to accept our weaknesses, admit that we do not understand something or that we know little about a certain subject. Many times, this leads us to act as if we have all the answers to the problems of others, and that is why we advise them too rigidly, as if our words represent the only correct way; yes after this attitude we find opposing ideas, then we accuse our interlocutors of being stubborn, just for not acting like we expected.

That being said, there is always the possibility that our advice are not good, or that there are better ones, more suitable for the other person. In such a case, the supposed stubbornness of those who refuse to accept our indications can result in a real solution. Stories of this type take place in many families, when parents chart the path they want to see their children travel, and they remain firm in their own decisions.

StubbornMany “stubborn young men” have become great professionals in all fields, and thanks to their endurance humanity has made great leaps at the scientific and cultural level. This attitude is usually linked to an unusual conviction, to a confidence in oneself that is not easy to explain or is consistent with the other aspects of the personality: for example, many apparently insecure individuals act like this in specific cases, generally related to vocation, although it does not respond to their constant need to satisfy others.

There are situations, however, that show that stubbornness can be noxious. Suppose a man thinks he can carry a very heavy box from one room to another. His wife and children tell him not to try as he will not be able to make such an effort. The stubborn man insists that he can do it and picks up the box. As expected, he takes a few steps and the box falls as his arms cannot support the weight. In this case, the subject being stubborn results in a problem because he did not allow him to listen and accept the advice of those around him.

Similarly, when parental advice is genuine and truly helpful, refusing to accept it can have serious consequences. A stubborn individual without reason attracts its own misfortune. Who seems to be acting stubborn, but just does it so as not to put aside their own dreams, sometimes gets a happy ending.

There is a musical band called Stubborn Core, whose gender is I heard!, which derives from punk rock and mixes various streams. His compositions revolve around communism and the victories of the Soviet Union over Nazism, especially during World War II.
