Joy is a action that allows to express satisfaction or joy. The concept is also used to name joy and happiness. For example: “The old man received the news with rejoicing and began to applaud.”, “To the delight of the men present, the young model wore a tight, low-cut dress”, “The rain did not extinguish the rejoicing of the neighbors, who continued singing and dancing all night long”.

JoyRejoicing is associated with pleasure and the positive. That which provokes rejoicing makes a person feel good, be enthusiastic, or be happy. Because of this broad meaning, the most diverse things can cause rejoicing.

We must not forget that rejoicing is also a term widely used within the religious sphere. Thus, it is used to show the satisfaction that a believing person can feel by attending an office, because it will make him feel in connection with God, or by undertaking a good deed that has his neighbor as beneficiary.

Precisely for this reason, there are even various religious songs that bear the aforementioned word in their title, as would be the case of “Me regocijo”, by Gadiel Espinosa. One composition is that has verses like these: “I rejoice in Jesus Christ because he has saved me. All my faults he has forgiven, because of his love he has changed me… ”.

Within the musical field we can say that there is also some song directed at teachers and students in which the positive of the day to day of both is told.

In many cases, glee is associated with food. When an individual can eat what he likes best, he experiences great rejoicing. That’s what a man who loves pasta when she eats a plate of ravioli or a chocolates lover when she has a box of chocolates at her disposal.

Rejoicing is also linked to hobbies and to the playful activities. A child can rejoice when playing with a video game console, just as an adult can rejoice when watching a play by theater or attend a concert.

Before the “reward” that offers what causes rejoicing, it is common for Humans do or choose things according to how exhilarating they are. In their free time, a person will prefer to read a book or watch television before cleaning the house or working, since the first actions cause pleasure and the second actions are usually done out of obligation.

To all the above we can add that there are various literary works that have in their titles the word that we are analyzing. One of them is “Regocijo en el hombre”, which was published in 1983 and won the Eugenio Nadal Prize.
