A drum is a container used for the storage and movement of liquids. It is a receptacle that closes hermetically, with which it is ideal for the transport of those substances that need to remain isolated from the environment.
The characteristics of the drums are varied. They can have different sizes and be made with plastic, metal or other material. At a general level, it can be said that they are similar to bottles, although larger (and therefore have greater capacity).
Drums have multiple uses. It is common for them to be used to carry fuel, for example. They can also be used to move oil (either edible or that intended for motors).
The Cleaning products they are often sold in drums. Floor cleaners, dishwasher and other similar items can be found in one, five or ten liter drums, to name a few possibilities.
The mineral water and the juices (juices), meanwhile, they are offered in drums in numerous supermarkets. Again, the variety is wide, as there are five-liter, six-liter, twelve-liter and up to twenty-liter drums.
It is important to mention that there are disposable drums and the reusable drums. In the first case, they are originally intended to be thrown away when emptied, while reusable drums have to be returned to the distributor of the product in question. In any case, to reduce the amount of waste that is generated, all the drums can be found second uses or at least destined their material to the recycling so they don’t end up in the trash can.
