The IP does not have the possibility of confirm if a data packet reached its destination. This can allow the package to arrive duplicated, with damage, in the wrong order or simply not reach its destination.
In the event that the packets to be transmitted exceed the maximum allowed in the network fragment, the information it is subdivided in smaller packages and reassembled at the right time.
The IP addresses refer to the team of origin and arrival in a communication through the protocol Internet. Packet switches (known as switches) and routers (routers) use IP addresses to determine which stretch of the network they will use to forward data.
The IP address is made up of a number that allows to identify hierarchically and logically the interface of a computer or another machine that is connected to a network and that uses the Internet protocol. Internet users, for example, use an IP address that usually changes with each connection. This mode of allocation is known as dynamic IP address.
Reducing what is the number of IPs that have been assigned and are inactive or reducing the operating costs that those in charge of acting as Internet service providers have are basically the two advantages that the use of the aforementioned dynamic IP brings with it, which These are the ones currently offered by the vast majority of operators.
In addition to all the above we have to make it clear that the aforementioned IPs can be assigned by the server in three clearly delimited ways, the first of which is known by the name of manual. This means that whoever creates it is in charge of managing the network and does it manually.
Secondly, the second form of assignment is the automatic call, which is carried out in this way that gives it a name and taking as a fundamental basis a range that has already been prefixed by the aforementioned administrator.
Third and last, we have to state that there is the dynamic way. This type of assignment has a clear difference with respect to the previous two and is that it is the only one that allows to carry out what is to reuse IP addresses, that is, to proceed to their reuse. A range of IP addresses established by the administrator and the TCP / IP communication software that each computer has, and which is put into operation when the corresponding network interface card is connected, are the essential elements for this form of assignment to take place. .
Internet sites that, for obvious reasons, must be permanently connected, use a static or fixed IP address. This means that the direction does not vary with the passage of hours or days.
