THIS USER ASKED ๐
Is extensive loss of hair observed in humans and whales an example of homoplasy or homology? see section 25.1 (page 497) ?
THIS IS THE BEST ANSWER ๐
I believe hair and limbs are homology because all mammals have similar hair and limb structure. Conversely, hair loss and social behavior are homogeneous because not all mammals have them. Homology is the similar traits due to ancestry although homoplasy is similar traits for reasons other than common ancestry.
