THIS IS THE BEST ANSWER ๐
The correct answer is – C. Because of the Kumbi Saleh desert it was not as important as a trading post.
Kumbi Saleh is thought to have been the capital of the Empire of Ghana, and from what is known it has existed from the 9th to the 14th centuries. It was an important trading post in which many commodities, especially gold, salt, copper and slaves, were traded as exports from the Empire. But as the climate changed slowly the region became a deserted place where life was getting harder and harder and it also began to lose its position as a trading post as the landscape became very hostile. , and the place was gradually abandoned.
