  Type that into the serial number thingy and it should work. [It worked for me] I lost my cd case AND my booklet AND the package it came in, so I thought I was screwed. I searched up “The Sims Deluxe Edition serial number” and in the first link, you’ll find a bunch of different serial numbers for different sim games, if you need them.
