SOMEONE ASKED ๐
Did I get a FAKE Essie nail polish?
HERE THE ANSWERS ๐

Are you sure the ones you get from the drugstore are real? All the Essie nail polishes other people I know have only have transparent imprints of ‘Essie’ on the side and an ‘E’ on the top. None of them had white lettering with a sticker on top. Essie bottles aren’t like that either on the Essie website either. You might want to do a little research on that or ask someone at your local drugstore.
Hope I helped!

RE:

So I am an Essie lover and I always get my polishes at my local drugstore. The packaging for those has essie written in white letters on one side and the name of the polish on a sticker on the cap. However, I just ordered the essie polish “A Cut Above” on Amazon and the bottle didn’t…

I doubt that a store selling that much nail polish would purposely sell a fake nail polish, unless it’s really sketchy. It’s possible that it could have just been a factory mistake, but definitely return it and try again… But didn’t you see it before you bought it. Because I would hope that you would be able to tell that. If they didn’t show you the color, then maybe buy it online, or somewhere else, because that’s a little sketchy.

Essie has two different bottle styles, both of which you described. I don’t remember which is which, but one is designed for regular retail, and one is designed for salons. (I think the sticker-on-the-top-and-white-lettering are the retail.) I buy the retail versions at CVS and WalMart. I get the salon versions at my TJMaxx, which buys overstock from local salons when they change out their seasonal collections.

I normally only see the bottles with the transparent and not the white writing so I don’t know what to tell you but I believe it is real.
