In Latin it is where the etymological origin of the word is found intensity which is the result of the sum or union of three clearly differentiated particles: the prefix –in which is equivalent to “inward”, the word tensus which is synonymous with “extended” and finally the suffix –dad which means “quality”.
Intensity is the level of force with which a magnitude, a property, a phenomenon, etc. is expressed. The intense, therefore, usually refers to the vehement or impetuous. For example: “The cyclist showed great intensity in the last stage and took over the competition”, “The band has a special intensity live”, “Loves have to be lived with intensity”.
The notion of intensity can be associated with the level of force or effort.
Thus, with respect to the sentimental or emotional aspect, it is frequent that the term intensity is used to refer to that force that is had at certain times in that sense. A clear example can be the following: “Juan Antonio lived his wedding with such intensity that he could not help crying at the end of the ecclesiastical ceremony.”
Current intensity and light intensity
The current intensity is a quantity that reflects the level of electricity that a conductor manages to pass through in a certain period of time. It is about the circulation of a load that, due to the mobility of the electrons, goes through a body.
The ammeter It is the tool that allows to quantify the intensity of the electric current. This device is a galvanometer that has a resistance in parallel (called shunt) that enables you to work with different measurement ranges.
The light intensity, on the other hand, is the magnitude that reveals the flux of light emitted by a fountain in a sense determined by each solid angle unit (the candle).

The concept in sound
Another type of intensity is sound intensity, a physical quantity that analyzes sound waves to indicate their amplitude according to the unit known as fonio. It can be said that the intensity of the sound is the acoustic power that a wave transfers per unit area to the propagation orientation.
In the field of sound we should not ignore what is known as musical intensity either. A term that can be defined as that quality that differentiates a strong sound from a soft one and vice versa. Specifically, this is considered to be one of the four characteristics that sound has, among which are also timbre, duration and height.
In this sense, psychoacoustics is of special importance, which is characterized by being the science that is responsible for carrying out the study of these aforementioned qualities.
Accent intensity and encryption intensity
Likewise, we cannot ignore what is known as an accent of intensity. A denomination with which it is usually defined to that type of accent that makes a syllable stand out from the rest thanks to the fact that it is pronounced with a greater and more forceful expiratory force.
For the cryptography, finally, the encryption strength it is tied to the number of available keys that can be used in an encryptor. This quantity or length is usually expressed in bits, since current cryptography generally appeals to binary keys.
